Kamala Harris’ Husband Dough’s Ex-Wife Kerstin Reacts After His Shocking Confession Of An Affair During Their Marriage

Doug Emhoff’s ex-wife Kerstin Emhoff speaks out  about his shocking confession of an affair with their nanny during their marriage. On August 4, Doug confirmed the buzzing rumors surrounding his past relationship as his wife, Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign heats up. 

Kerstin defended her ex-husband Doug

Kerstin defended him about the confession of Emhoff’s affair  highlighting how they have built a strong, blended family. 

Doug and I decided to end our marriage for a variety of reasons, many years ago,” Kerstin told The Washington Post. Doug, the film producer, who was married to Mr Emhoff from 1992 to 2008, had  defended his current wife, Vice President Kamala Harris after she was attacked by Trump’s VP pick, JD Vance, for his ‘childless cat ladies’ remark.

Kerstin and Doug share two kids, Ella and Cole, who are now young adults.

“He is a great father to our kids, continues to be a great friend to me, and I am really proud of the warm and supportive blended family Doug, Kamala, and I have built together,” Kerstin continued

Kamala Harris was fully aware of the circumstances 

After five years of divorce from Kerstin, Doug married Kamala Harris in 2014. It is widely believed that President Joe Biden was informed of the situation when campaign advisors were evaluating Kamala Harris as a potential running mate in 2020. As per a source Vice President Kamala, was fully aware of the circumstances before she exchanged vows with Emhoff.

It is said that the alleged affair happened over 15 years ago with a former teacher of Emhoff children at the private school, who also served as the family’s nanny. A source said that she became pregnant by Emhoff but did not carry the pregnancy to term.

“During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions,” Doug said “I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side,” he continued, seemingly confirming the reports but steering clear from any pregnancy claims.
