Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, quickly responded to recent rumours surrounding her daughter’s appearance at Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston.

Tina Knowles Addresses False Rumours

“This is false information,” Knowles said in an Instagram post. The rumour falsely claimed that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to attend the event, but Knowles was eager to set the record straight.

She explained, “Beyoncé did not earn a penny for this event.” Instead, Knowles revealed, “Beyoncé paid for her flights, her team’s expenses, and total glam.” She criticised the rumour, calling it harmful and disrespectful not only to Beyoncé but also to Vice President Harris.

John Legend, another artist who performed at a Harris rally, showed support for Knowles. He commented, “We all performed for free because we care about the future of this nation.” His statement further highlighted the sincerity behind the efforts of those who took part in the rallies.

Beyoncé’s Speech Focused on Unity

Beyoncé’s words at the Houston rally emphasised the importance of unity and community. “I am here as a mother who cares about the world our children live in,” she said. Beyoncé’s message was clear—her involvement was about creating a better, more united world. “This is about unity, not division,” she added, showing her commitment to social change.

Her speech resonated with the audience, as she used her platform to advocate for women’s rights and social equality. Kelly Rowland, her Destiny’s Child bandmate, stood by her side on stage. Their presence demonstrated their shared values and reinforced the importance of taking action in the face of division.

John Legend, who also performed at a separate Harris rally, echoed this sentiment. He said, “This was never about money. It was about hope.” His words reflected the core belief of many celebrities who participated—they were motivated by a desire to create positive change, not by financial gain.

Oprah Winfrey Denies Similar Claims

Oprah Winfrey also addressed similar false claims involving her participation in Harris’ campaign events. “I was not paid a dime,” Winfrey stated firmly, clearing up the misunderstanding. While Winfrey’s company, Harpo Productions, received $1 million for organising a town hall, she clarified, “That was for production, not for me.”

Oprah emphasised that her involvement in the campaign stemmed from her belief in civic engagement and the importance of voter participation. Like Beyoncé and other celebrities, she used her influence to support the cause, not for monetary gain.

Tina Knowles concluded her Instagram post with a poignant question: “When will these lies stop?” She expressed frustration at the ongoing falsehoods and defended her daughter’s integrity. Her words inspired many of her followers to demand truth and honesty in public conversations.
