Disney Dreamlight Valley Devlog Promises Major Reveals On October 2

Gameloft has announced a new developer update video for Disney Dreamlight Valley, scheduled for October 2. In this devlog, the company will share details about the upcoming free update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, including its theme and title, which have already been disclosed.

Celebrating One Year of Disney Dreamlight

On December 5, Disney Dreamlight Valley will celebrate its first anniversary since the full release, following 15 months of early access. Since its preview launch in September 2022, the game has introduced 12 significant content updates and 17 hotfixes, averaging more than one update per month.

The release momentum is expected to continue with the upcoming major update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, confirmed by Gameloft to be titled Jungle Getaway. While no additional details about the patch have been disclosed, the company plans to share more information on October 2 during its next developer log. Considering the developer’s track record of averaging one major content drop every two months, and with the Dapper Delights update arriving in late August, it’s likely that Jungle Getaway will launch around mid-October 2024.

Like Dapper Delights and many previous patches, Jungle Getaway will be a free update, as confirmed by Gameloft. A few days before the October 2 devlog announcement, the company also hinted at the next Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Path, expected to launch alongside Jungle Getaway, using one of its signature emoji sequences. While these teasers are sometimes easier to interpret, this particular one has left fans stumped. The sequence seems to suggest a music, sound, or festival theme, though some speculate it might involve a fireworks sound effect.

Timon and Pumbaa Join Disney Dreamlight

According to Gameloft’s previously shared content roadmap, Disney Dreamlight Valley is set to welcome Timon and Pumbaa as new villagers. These characters were promised as part of a Lion King-themed update planned for October 2024. It’s likely that this content drop is the same as the upcoming Jungle Getaway update.

With October 31 fast approaching, it’s likely that Disney Dreamlight Valley will introduce some Halloween-themed content soon. However, it’s unclear whether these additions will be part of the Jungle Getaway update, which appears to focus on a different theme. Fans will have to wait for more details to see how Halloween might be incorporated into the game’s upcoming content.
