The British Esports Association has announced an exciting partnership with PUBG Mobile Esports to host the inaugural PUBG MOBILE FE College Tournament 2024. This tournament is set to engage students aged 16 and above from across the UK, providing them with a unique opportunity to showcase their gaming skills in a competitive environment.
Tournament Details and Structure
Scheduled to take place from October 8 through the week of November 12, the PUBG MOBILE FE College Tournament will feature up to 16 teams vying for supremacy. Teams will compete over 12 maps, and the tournament will culminate in a thrilling final showdown. The top team will earn the prestigious opportunity to play on stage at the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship, which will be hosted at London’s ExCel Auditorium from December 6 to December 8.
In addition to the competitive matches, after four weeks of play, the leading team on the leaderboard will participate in a special showmatch featuring popular content creators and influencers from the gaming community. This format not only highlights competitive gameplay but also fosters community engagement and entertainment.
Building on Previous Collaborations
This initiative is not British Esports’ first collaboration with Level Infinite, the developer behind PUBG Mobile. Earlier this year, they partnered to promote career opportunities within the esports industry, emphasizing their commitment to nurturing talent and expanding the esports ecosystem in the UK.
Tom Dore, Vice President of British Esports, expressed enthusiasm about this new venture. He stated that this tournament represents a significant step forward in mobile esports for further education colleges. Dore highlighted the importance of this collaboration with Tencent, noting that it would provide students with invaluable experience and exposure in a rapidly growing industry.
The PUBG Mobile esports scene has been witnessing remarkable growth throughout 2024. Recently, PUBG Mobile Esports formed a partnership with Guild Esports, a prominent UK organization that has fielded teams in multiple tournaments this year. This trend indicates a robust expansion of competitive opportunities within the mobile gaming sector.
