Conor Gallagher, 24, the midfielder has transferred from Chelsea to Atlético Madrid for around £34 million, while Joao Felix has moved to Chelsea for a fee of approximately £42 million.
Signed a Five Years Contract
As per reports Conor Gallagher has signed a five-year contract with Atlético Madrid, concluding a summer saga that saw the deal initially stall. Since the age of six Gallagher had been with Chelsea, and was even forced to train with the club’s under-21 squad during the negotiations.
Atlético released a statement that says “Atlético Madrid and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Conor Gallagher, who has signed for the club until 2029.”
Chelsea shared a video on social media looking back at Gallagher’s time at the club, with a caption: “Conor Gallagher has completed a permanent transfer to Atlético Madrid. We wish Conor the very best as he begins a new chapter in his career.”

Conor Gallagher’s transfer to Atlético Madrid has cleared the path for João Félix to return to Chelsea. In 2023 The Portuguese forward had spent six months on loan at Stamford Bridge and has now signed a seven-year contract. Félix could make his first appearance since returning during Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League match against Wolves.
Bashir Humphreys Has Joined Burnley
England Under-21 defender Bashir Humphreys has joined Burnley on a season-long loan from Chelsea, and he made his Chelsea debut last January in an FA Cup match against Manchester City.
Humphreys said “Burnley is a club with huge ambitions, the owners know what they are doing, and they really want to push the club on as much as possible. It makes so much sense for the next step in my career. I had really good conversations with him [manager Scott Parker] and that is always pivotal when it comes to transfers.
