Season 3  will likely continue to explore the “Dance of Dragons” storyline, drawing from author George R.R. Martin’s 2018 book Fire & Blood. The series is set nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones.

When can we expect season 3?

We can  expect House of the Dragon season 3 sometime in 2026. The gap between season 1 and season 2 was about two years, which would certainly suggest that we could see a similar gap between seasons 2 and 3, though it is not official

Moreover , HBO is supposed to release the new Game of Thrones spinoff A knight of the Seven Kingdoms in late 2025 based on Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, which was greenlit in early 2021.
