Jennifer Lopez, 55, and Matt Damon,53, had a “deep conversation” at an Unstoppable afterparty following the film’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), reported by People.
Lopez And Damon Spend Time Together
On September 6, Friday, after having group pictures together at the Premiere, according to People’s source Lopez and Damon spent over 20 minutes chatting at the afterparty, which took place at EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace at The Ritz-Carlton.
As per People’s Insider, Lopez who stars in co-produces Unstoppable alongside Damon was sitting at a table outside with Damon’s wife Luciana Damon, and costar Don Cheadle when Damon joined them.
“Jen and Matt began talking and had a long, deep conversation,” the insider says, adding that the two friends shared both light and serious conversations, and for several minutes, they clasped hands during their discussion.
The Premiere marks Lopez’s first major public appearance after filing for divorce from Affleck on August 20. Co-producer Ben Affleck was noticeably absent from both the movie’s premiere and the afterparty.

The movie is the real-life story of wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born disabled with one leg and eventually claimed an NCAA national championship in 2011, which was produced under Affleck and Damon’s production company Artists Equity. In the film Lopez plays the role of Robles’ mother Judy Robles, Lopez portrays Robles’ mother Judy Robles in the film, which received a standing ovation from the audience as the credits rolled at TIFF.
Following the screening, during the Q&A on stage, Lopez emphasized the importance of doing justice to Judy’s story.
“I think it was my job really to help her feel safe. Both of them, Anthony and Judy, to feel safe and kind of put this in our hands and trust us with all the information that they could give us and know that we wouldn’t misuse it in any way, but only use it to tell their story in the best and most beautiful way that it deserved. Because it is one of the most beautiful, most inspiring stories I think I’ve ever seen on screen,” Lopez said, reported by People.
