In a heartwarming gesture, Jason Kelce, the 36-year-old former NFL player, proudly unveiled Nessie, their family’s lively new furry companion, during the most recent installment of his popular New Heights podcast, which he hosts alongside his brother, the talented football star Travis Kelce.
“Have you seen Nessie yet?”
Jason asked his brother “Have you seen Nessie yet? Our new puppy?” to which he replied “I have been watching that baby wolf, that coyote walking around behind you for the past like five minutes.”
Former Eagles star then approached a white and gray Irish wolfhound, holding her up to the camera, and greeted everyone.
Travis commented “Oh, that is a good looking pup right there, That’s a good looking pup.”
While Jason cautioned his brother on the podcast that despite the dog’s innocent appearance, she could be a handful, he still seemed to be laughing when he received some puppy kisses from Nessie.
“She’s coming off real sweet right now. She is a terror, Like, [she] can get up on the sink already, pulling dishes out with her teeth.” Said Jason.
“She’s the most food aggressive dog we’ve ever had in our life, Any door that has like that little, that little hinge [doorknob], she gets up and she hits it, pulls it open. I’m like what the f— is this dog?” He added.
“She was everything I had hoped for in a wolfie and more,”
This comes six months after Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, announced the death of their Irish wolfhound, Winnie, in an Instagram post, she expressed her love for the beloved pet and how Winnie lived up to the hype, expressing her admiration for her beloved dog.
She wrote in the caption of a photo “She was everything I had hoped for in a wolfie and more, I lost part of my soul today, but I know she is at peace. I love you, Winn. You will always be my first born child.”
Jason, a dog lover, has expressed his reluctance to adopt a cat, stating on a podcast that he plans to “divert” his wife and daughters, Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett, 18 months from bringing a cat home.
“You know what my latest plan to divert our family from getting a cat is? I just keep telling our girls that cats are poisonous, So that they don’t want cats. And I don’t have to deal with having a cat and make them terrified.” He said.
He continued “I just don’t want a cat, I don’t want another animal in the house. My dogs have already ruined the furniture.”
He expressed interest in having an outdoor cat if his girls still desire one, as he believes cats are “fine” if they stay outside.
“I’ll do an outdoor cat. I’m okay with an outdoor cat,” he stated.
