Sony Announced The Launch Of The PlayStation 5 Pro
This release comes just weeks after Microsoft’s new Xbox series X consoles are ready to launch on October 15 and are available to pre-order currently.
The PS5 Pro is reported to have 67% more computing units and 28% faster memory compared to the current PS5, allowing 45% faster gameplay rendering. It will also feature more dynamic light reflection and refraction for more realistic ray tracing.
Moreover, Sony is presenting PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, an AI-powered technology that will add more detail and improve the image quality.
Other features include PS5 Pro Game Boost, which will improve the performance of more than 8,500 backward-compatible PS4 games. The console supports VRR and 8K gaming and includes Wi-Fi 7 for regions where the technology is available.
Blockbuster titles from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners will be updated to use the PS5 Pro’s features fully. Upcoming releases including Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered will feature the PS5 Pro Enhanced label.

Gamers can also expect titles such as Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Demon’s Souls, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Gran Turismo 7, Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, The Crew Motorfest, The First Descendant and more.
The design of the PS5 Pro would be similar to previous models of the PS5 versions, providing the same height and width. The console will feature a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller, and a pre-installed copy of Astro’s Playroom.
The PS5 Pro console will be available for $699.99 at participating retailers and on direct.playstation.com.
