Despite being the last two original members of Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest
have now found themselves on the outside after a major shakeup within WWE. The breakup at SummerSlam has led to a completely new version of the group, and the backstage reaction to this moment has recently surfaced.
Received significant praise from WWE management
At SummerSlam, Damian Priest faced a shocking betrayal. He had almost defeated Gunther to retain his World Heavyweight title, but it was not to be. He was betrayed by Finn Balor, his interference and distraction allowed The Ring General to secure the victory. Earlier in the night, Rhea Ripley suffered a similar fate. Dominik Mysterio turned on her to align with Liv Morgan, shattering Ripley’s heart and ensuring she didn’t reclaim her world title.
Before their final split up at SummerSlam, The Judgment Day members were seen to be very emotional backstage. They were sad that their group was coming to an end, as per a report by WRKD Wrestling
They received significant praise from WWE management for how well the breakup was executed at SummerSlam. Their performance during The Biggest Party of the Summer, staged for several major storylines, earned them greater praise.
Two stars have already begun supporting each other
“Members of The Judgement Day were sentimental and emotional backstage ahead of the group’s splintering this past week. The faction was also praised by WWE management for the successful big payoffs to their SummerSlam angles.” WRKD Wrestling tweeted.
Now Priest wants revenge against Finn Balor while Rhea Ripley has her sights set on taking down both Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio for their betrayal. The two stars have already begun supporting each other, joining forces on WWE RAW this week as they kick off their feuds.
Thanks to Liv Morgan now joining The Judgment Day, Ripley and Priest both have bones to pick with their former group.
