Adrian Lee is one of the most promising prospects in the world of mixed martial arts today and the youngest one in the Lee family has a great sense of humor to ease the tension of being a professional mixed martial artist. At just 18 years old, Lee has already caught the attention of ONE’s global fan base, being a four-time National Youth MMA Champion.
Adrian Lee Will be Facing a Tough Opponent
Adrian’s hilarious answer when ESPN Honolulu asked him about his dream opponent in an MMA match, whether real or imaginary.
“I think it’s a kangaroo. I’ve always wondered if I could beat a kangaroo in a fight, and I think I could.” He replied
As fun as it sounds, Adrian Lee won’t be fighting a kangaroo anytime soon. Instead, he’ll be facing a tough opponent, Nico Cornejo, in the ONE Circle at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.
Lee’s family’s legacy is well-established in the world’s largest martial arts organization. He has been accustomed to tough training sessions. His siblings Christian currently holds both the ONE Lightweight and Welterweight MMA World Titles, while Angela until her retirement enjoyed a storied career as the ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion.
Trying to Get Proper Staredowns
In the interview with ESPN Honolulu, Lee Mentioned that he is still getting used to staredowns, a key moment for any mixed martial artist
“Not really. I try to figure out where to look. Because I don’t know if I should look at his left eye or right eye. And if you’re looking at both, your eyes are going back and forth.”
Though things can be completely different when Lee steps into the cage against Nico Cornejo at ONE 168: Denver on September 6. He can showcase his skills and go for a quick finish.
