It’s very depressing to see the fans created hate on “The Acolyte,” a recent addition to the Star Wars franchise on Disney+, has stirred significant controversy and polarized reactions among fans. Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, the series faced intense backlash and review bombing from a segment of the fanbase. Fans are complaining on social media about it’s storyline, some are saying that it is following a “Woke” agenda while others are saying that it features various races but no white character and criticizing for showing women as warriors better than men. In addition to this, fans are calling it as no character development, poor dialogue and many more.
Will season 2 still happen?

According to the past reports, the studio was eyeing “multiple seasons” of the High Republic show. Additionally, a rumor from an insider, that the writers had already started working on season 2 even before the three months of premiere of the series.
Moreover, despite receiving heavy backlash, it has achieved a 4.8 million views on its very first episode, making it the most watched Disney+ premiere of 2024.
It is still vague whether season 2 will happen or not because of the negative reviews but there are still chances of happening.
