Despite living continents apart, the rapper Eve and Maximillion Cooper made their relationship work. Eve, 45, met her British businessman husband Cooper at his celebrity motor rally, the Gumball 3000. They had a deep connection as Eve was living in the U.S. while Cooper lived in London with his four children from a previous marriage.
Eve Relocated To London
“It was a big move. Culturally, things are very different. It took about two years for me to feel settled here,” Eve told People as the couple got married in June 2014 and Eve relocated to London.
As per People, she said, “Dropping them off, picking them up from school, it took adjusting. But I fell in love with them as well. Max is such a good dad that it helped me be like, ‘Okay, I can see me doing this. I can see me being here.’”
Eve had to adjust to her new role as stepmom to Cooper’s children, Lotus 22, Jagger 20, Cash 18, and Mini 16.
The couple also tried to have a baby after their marriage but Eve experienced a pregnancy loss while filming her sitcom in 2006 and encountered difficulties in getting pregnant.
“You question yourself, your body, the universe, God, so many things. I told my husband [about the miscarriage] when we got close, but never ever spoke about it in public, not even [while I was hosting] The Talk,” The rapper said.
Faced Challenges During Pregnancy
In her memoir, Who’s That Girl? She wrote that she had a “tubal pregnancy, where the embryonic sac ruptured in my one fallopian tube.”
Eve was later diagnosed with endometriosis and fibroids. After surgery to remove the fibroids, she went through several rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF). She eventually had one mosaic embryo, which carried some risks of genetic issues, but she chose to have it implanted. Later, she learned about her pregnancy while filming Queens alongside Brandy, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez in 2021.
“I always call him my anchor, because I live in the clouds and he’s definitely two feet on the ground,” Eve said about Cooper.
“I Don’t Have Anything To Chase”
She gave birth in 2022 to a healthy baby boy named Wilde Wolf. “Oh, are they going to want a little sibling at this point?’ But they were so excited, and they are honestly the best big sisters and brother to him. They love him, and he loves them. It’s really so sweet to see how happy he is when they’re around,” Eve shared about the baby’s siblings’ excitement to welcome him in the family.
“I don’t have anything to chase beyond the things that I want to build for him, us as a family. That is a very, very nice place to be,” Eve says as she feels really blessed to be a mother.
