Lizzo Dismisses Ozempic Rumors Amid Transformation

Lizzo is addressing rumors on social media while openly sharing her fitness journey. The Grammy-winning artist replied to a fan on Instagram who inquired whether she was using Ozempic, a diabetes medication, for weight loss.

Lizzo Responds to Ozempic Rumors with Humor

On September 20, Lizzo posted a cheerful video of herself smiling on Instagram, accompanied by a playful caption,  “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.” She used an audio clip from Django Unchained saying, “It’s like a reward.”

Lizzo replied to a follower who asked, “Did she use Ozempic or did she snort coke?” Lizzo replied,  “Why do u follow me?” hinting that she was not taking the rumors too seriously.

The singer has been candid about her fitness journey, frequently posting workout videos. Recently, she shared a TikTok showcasing her transformation in her Yitty shapewear line, using a popular Nicki Minaj sound and captioning it, “Fine both ways.”

Lizzo has stressed that her workouts focus on feeling good mentally and physically, rather than on weight loss. In May, she mentioned that exercising helps her stay focused and perform at her best during her energetic shows.

Last month, Lizzo announced that she is taking a gap year after dealing with several lawsuits earlier this year. She shared this update on Instagram, “I’m taking a gap year and protecting my peace [prayer emoji] (sic).”

“Help The World Be A Little Better”

Earlier this year, Lizzo appeared to announce her departure from the music industry. In March, she shared a post on Instagram, “I’m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet. All I want is to make music make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it.”

“I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views … being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look. My character is being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespect my name. I didn’t sign up for this s***. (sic)” she added.
