Emilia Clarke, who gained her fame as Daenerys Targaryen in the famous HBO fantasy series Game Of Thrones will now play a leading role in the espionage thriller Ponies, co-created by Susanna Fogel and David Iserson. The actress will also executive produce the show.

The Synopsis Of The Upcoming Series
The upcoming thriller series, Ponies is about a vast Cold War conspiracy. It is set in Moscow and the USA in 1977.
According to the official synopsis, “Two ‘PONIES’ (‘persons of no interest’ in intelligence speak) work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. That is until their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR, and the pair become CIA operatives. Bea (Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila, is a small-town girl who is as abrasive as she is fearless. Together, they work to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.”
The series will also be directed by Susanna Fogel and David Iserson will serve as the showrunner. The executive producer under her Pacesetter Productions banner will be Jessica Rhoades and Pacesetter’s Alison Mo Massey with Katherine Bridle will co-executive produce. While fans can enjoy the series on Peacock.
