He was quite tired, experiencing chills, and had a fever at the time. According to Fauci, he was discharged from the hospital three days ago and is anticipated to fully recuperate at home.

The West Nile Virus

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state that mosquitoes are the main vectors of the West Nile virus. It spreads throughout mosquito season, which is in the summer and fall, and is the main mosquito-borne disease in the continental United States. According to Fauci, the virus was probably picked up from a mosquito bite in his backyard.
