Hallmark’s latest movie Falling Together is filled with heartwarming moments, but some of the most meaningful are the subtle Easter eggs that pay tribute to the parents of the cast. Other stars also honored their loved ones in special ways, making the viewing experience even more poignant for fans.
Ashley Williams Honors Her Mom
Piercing eyes Watching the latest film from the network, Falling Together, which debuted on World Alzheimer’s Day on Saturday, September 21, Hallmark devotees probably experienced a slight knot in their throats. However, in one scene, Easter eggs honored the parents of several other Hallmark favorites. As the camera slowly pans past a picture of Williams’ mother, along with images of Nikki DeLoach’s father, David DeLoach, who passed away three years ago from an uncommon and severe form of dementia known as Pick’s Disease, and Andrew Walker’s mother, Joyce Francis Crossley Walker, who passed away last year following a protracted battle with Alzheimer’s, in the scene, Williams’ character, Natalie, was looking at pictures in Linda’s office.
“It was really important to us to put these little treasures in, and it was so cool we had this opportunity,” Williams tells PEOPLE. “I knew that we would need photos on the wall, because that’s what the Alzheimer’s Association does, and so I texted Nikki and Andrew and said, ‘Any chance you can send me some pictures? I want to include pictures of your family, of your dad and of your mom on the wall of the Alzheimer’s office location.'”
