Bloom and Theroux are engaged, with Theroux popped the question in Italy for his film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
They were first spotted together in February 2023 at a Netflix event in New York City, where they were spotted alongside Tan France and actress Louisa Jacobson, with whom Bloom works on their HBO series, The Gilded Age.

Theroux and Bloom were spotted kissing in August 2023 while out on a date at the Manhattan eatery Altro Paradiso. A few months later, in October, the two were seen getting out of a New York City gym together.
Theroux, a popular actor, expressed his preference for keeping his romantic relationships private in an interview with Esquire, stating that it was “much more fun not being in a public relationship.”
He also said “There’s something to, once you’re out of that, where I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we’re in,”

Justin and actress Bloom attended her twin sister’s wedding in December 2023 and Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup’s nuptials in Mexico City in June 2024, before their Oscars debut at Vanity Fair’s Oscars Party.
Theroux, who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston from 2015 until their divorce in 2018, has been in several of Bloom’s social media photos since their first mirror picture, which was taken at her sister’s wedding in December 2023. She also posted a photo carousel featuring them in mid-August 2024.
On August 20, the actor posted a selfie of his now-fiancée on Instagram Stories, placing his arm around her and kissing her cheek against an oceanside backdrop.
Theroux and Bloom were seen traveling together, sharing photos on Instagram of beautiful waterside locations. Theroux mentioned on the red carpet for the Venice Film Festival premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice that the couple planned to vacation in addition to attending the event.
