Jonathan Bailey, known for his roles in Wicked, Bridgerton, and Jurassic World Rebirth, has announced a surprise break from acting in 2026. After three intense years of filming, Bailey says he will shift his full attention to his passion project—The Shameless Fund.
Focus on The Shameless Fund
In an interview with GQ, Bailey shared his motivation: “I’m going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on the Shameless Fund.” The charity aims to support LGBTQ+ rights through brand collaborations, including a recent campaign with eyewear brand Cubitts.
A Creative and Impactful Mission
Bailey highlighted a troubling statistic: only 1p out of every £100 raised in the UK goes to LGBTQ+ causes. He believes The Shameless Fund can help change that. Stars like Scarlett Johansson and Cynthia Erivo have already lent their support to the initiative.
What’s Next for Bailey
Before his hiatus, Bailey will appear in Wicked: For Good, releasing November 21, 2025. He plays Fiyero alongside Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. With Emmy nominations and global acclaim under his belt, Bailey’s break is expected to be temporary—but deeply meaningful.
