The American born actress has been seen encouraging people to spread positivity online along with her husband Prince Harry. The couple has also urged people to vote in the upcoming presidential election in November. This resulted in controversy in the Royal family as well as in the media, as according to the Royal ethics the members belonging to the family can not opine on political issues.
Meghan’s response to the question regarding the controversy
Being in the Most Powerful Women summit conducted by the Fortune magazine, she responded by saying that she has just been trying to be authentic about her opinions. But the statements voiced by her have often been misinterpreted. She further says that the comments she has made, have just ended up being controversial due to people’s interpretation. But if her statements get properly heard, it would not have been seemed debatable according to the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan’s appeal to the public
Meghan appealed to the public to avoid clicking on misconstructed news online and to report comments which are fake. Her opinion is that as the Presidential elections are coming soon, people need to be more conscious of what is the truth and what is not. She further opines that reliable media sources are needed. The sources need to project truth to the mass, without that it becomes a problem for everyone.
The Duchess and Duke’s current status
The current status of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been reported that they are living distant from Britain’s royal family. Meghan Markel and Prince Harry are now living in Southern Calfornia.
