Recently, Winona Ryder has spilled the bean from her past life which cast Keanu Reeves in a bold outlook who she said had once negated the director’s orders as he called the actor to shout at the former on the sets of Dracula. Well if you recount, Winona and Reeves starred in the 1992 adaptation of Bram Stoker’s vampire novel, where the actress was appointed to play the role of Dracula’s target, namely Mina Harker and Reeves signed the deal to play Mina’s fiancé.
Promoting personal play
Meanwhile, Winona alleged that the director of the movie, Francis Ford Coppola yelled at her several times screaming, ‘You w***e’ in the off-screen in order to make her cry during her shoot. The scene, however, depicted Gary Oldman’s Dracula to turn into a pile of rats. In fact, Francis also tried to bring in the film’s male cast for executing similar behaviour with Winona while joining hands with him.
The stout performers
And then? Keanu just slammed his wish by refusing to play foul in the game as Winona briefed the incident in an interview with The Sunday Times, expressing ‘To put it in context I’m supposed to be crying’. Truly, who could have borne the guts like the legend?
Then she went on saying, ‘Literally, Richard E Grant, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu… Francis was trying to get all of them to yell things that would make me cry. ‘But Keanu wouldn’t, Anthony wouldn’t… It just didn’t work. I was, like, really? It kind of did the opposite.’
For a promising amity
Departing from the moment, the star shared that she and Francis happen to be ‘good now’, who also disclosed that the eye-opening experience resulted in a long-term friendship with the Matrix actor. Yes, that’s how Keanu has continued to earn respect from the highly populated stardom within the Hollywood industry and that goes beyond in defining him as a genuine person.
