4. Start Cutting Back on Sugar Little by Little
Quitting, or at least minimizing sugar, is a gradual process; it isn’t something that you can hope to achieve overnight. Therefore, it is important that you are patient with yourself as you try and reduce your sugar addiction. Make small changes every day. Instead of giving up on desserts entirely, start reducing the serving size of your desserts. Whether it’s substituting canned fruit juices with actual fruits or chocolate cake with a piece of dark chocolate, every seemingly small choice you make will count towards the ultimate goal. Eventually, you may find that your dependence on sugar has become much lesser than it used to be.
