Meghan Markle has opened up about a crucial period in her royal journey that drastically changed her taste in clothing in an honest confession. A pivotal incident sparked a metamorphosis as she managed the complexity of royal life, permanently altering her appearance and sense of style.
Duchess of Sussex’s Support for Women in Business
In a recent interview that was published on August 28, Meghan Markle revealed that she is expanding her investing portfolio.
The 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex revealed to the New York Times that she just added the handbag company Cesta Collective to her tiny collection of female-run businesses, which she discovered by chance while doing online shopping.
“I spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands,” said Meghan, who began investing money in companies led by women back in 2020. “When people are online looking for things or reading things, I’m trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories.”
Meghan made the decision to invest organically, just as she discovered the brand. After receiving a thank-you email from Ryder and her co-founder Courtney Weinblatt Fasciano, Meghan eventually made the offer to become their first outside investor.
Cesta Collective specializes in handwoven basket bags that are finished in Italy after being made by a group of women in Rwanda. In May 2023, Meghan Markle, together with Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, and their respective spouses, attended a dinner date with her 39-year-old husband, Prince Harry, sporting a Cesta bag. The New York Times was informed by Cesta co-founder Erin Ryder that the brand “had more sales in one day than we’ve ever had” when Meghan was spotted carrying the purse.
Megan’s Changing Fashion Style
Meghan was informed that day about the significance of her attire decision and how it helped the Scottish business grow its personnel.“It changed everything in terms of how I then looked at putting an outfit together,” Meghan said.Meghan is recognized for wearing stylish yet reasonably priced clothing from bigger retailers like J. Crew in addition to her search for unknown labels.
Meghan claims that after becoming engaged to the Duke of Sussex, she discovered her influence in the design industry. According to The New York Times, a Scottish designer’s Strathberry purse sold out in 11 minutes, making a royal celebrity of the moment.
“Times where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing, then I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that haven’t gotten the attention that they should be getting.
She further added, “That’s one of the most powerful things that I’m able to do, and that’s simply wearing, like, an earring.”
