Jenn Tran, the reality TV star best known from The Bachelorette, faced an unexpected challenge during week two of Dancing with the Stars. Partnered with professional dancer Sasha Farber, the duo performed a tango to “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” from The Great Gatsby. However, a technical issue disrupted their performance as they lost the ability to hear the music.
Jenn Tran’s Resilience Shines Through
The judges, impressed by the couple’s composure, awarded them a score of 19/30.
Judge Bruno Tonioli even likened Tran’s performance to that of a “sassy, glossy, mischievous little kitten.”
Tran credited her strong bond with Farber as a key reason she was able to remain calm during the mishap.
Their teamwork and special connection helped them overcome the stressful moment with grace.
Despite this nerve-wracking situation, Tran relied on her muscle memory and continued the routine.
In an interview with PEOPLE after the show, she admitted that the experience was initially frightening, but she persevered through the unexpected obstacle.
“I just kept going, and I’m honestly proud of myself for pushing through,” she said, expressing her gratitude for having a reliable partner like Farber by her side.
Farber praised Tran’s professionalism, noting that she handled the mishap like a seasoned dancer despite her lack of experience.
Balancing Reality TV and Personal Life
Tran’s Dancing with the Stars journey began shortly after her public breakup with ex-fiancé Devin Strader on The Bachelorette.
She previously shared that while she’s excited to be part of the dancing competition, she’s still healing emotionally.
However, despite the challenges she’s faced, both personally and on the dance floor, Tran continues to show resilience and determination in her new endeavour.
Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available to stream the following day on Hulu.
