F.R.I.E.N.D.S. remains one of the most popular shows despite going off the air all the way back in 2004. However, they are currently streaming on Netflix and will soon the rights will be shifted to another streaming service. The casts of the show have earned a huge fan base and they always expect a reunion and now it seems a reunion is on the cards now.
As per the THR, the six stars are in talks for an unscripted reunion special and that would release on HBO Max. Although the project is in days, fans shouldn’t start expecting from now. The goal of this reunion is nothing but to bring back Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer along with the Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane.
HBO Max is probably the best place for a Friends reunion, even unscripted as well. Meanwhile, it is moving from Netflix to HBO Max next year, and it could be one of the biggest draws to the new streamer as well. While HBO Max is also streaming revivals of shows like Gossip Girl and Adventure Time, some crazy new TV projects, and even a Green Lantern-centric series from Arrow-verse is there but Friends could be the best. The originals could help to keep the subscribers growing.
Along with Netflix, Amazon and Hulu have also gained viewers in recent years, and some more niche streaming services like CBS All Access and DC Universe have launched in recent times as well. The biggest game-changer is definitely Disney+, which went live on November 12 with which included classic movies from the Disney vault and original series like the very first live-action Star Wars show etc.
