Director James Gunn has teased John Cena’s latest DC Universe costume in a new photo from “Peacemaker” season 2. As Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios move on from the DCEU movie timeline. This December on Max, “Creature Commandos” will premiere, followed by a new “Superman” movie in July 2025.
The New Look For The Upcoming Season
Gunn reveals the new look for the upcoming Peacemaker season 2 and celebrates Christopher Smith’s first comic book appearance. The new image also includes Cena’s new costume

“Peacemaker” season 2 is expected to see the return of key cast members, including John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, and Steve Agee as John Economos. Additionally, they have also teased about returning some of the key characters who were dead in season 1.
Official Date For Premiere
The upcoming Peacemaker’s has not received an official date for premiere but the debut can be expected in 2025. Moreover, Director Gunn is directing only a few episodes of upcoming season 2 as he is also focused on directing the new “Superman” movie.
Moreover, as per reports the “Peacemaker” season 2 storyline is that it will occur sometime after the events of the upcoming Superman movie, set for release next summer. Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. is confirmed to appear in season 2 after his animated debut in Creature Commandos. Gunn teases that he and Cena’s character “have a little unfinished business to take care of.”
