Chelsea, one of the top football clubs in Europe, is currently in active negotiations to secure a promising talent in the form of Spanish forward Samu Omorodion, who is currently playing for Atletico Madrid in the competitive La Liga.

Selling Omorodion will help raise funds

On Monday, the Spanish club agreed to pay £81.5 million to capture Manchester City attacker Julian Alvarez, and selling Omorodion will assist create finances for the Argentine transfer. 

Personal terms have now been negotiated with Alvarez, who will join for an initial fee of £64.4 million, with a further £17.1 million in potential add-ons.

In a separate agreement that took the football world by storm, promising Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has officially reached a lucrative deal to join the revered ranks of Atletico Madrid for a substantial fee of £33 million, marking a significant milestone in his budding career.

Samu has scored once in Spain’s run to the final at Paris Olympics

20-year-old Omorodion transitioned to Atletico Madrid after showcasing his talent in La Liga with Granada, where he made his debut.

During his loan spell at Alaves, he demonstrated remarkable skill on the field by scoring a total of eight goals in the 35 appearances he made for the team, showcasing his undeniable talent and making a significant impact during his time with the club.

Omorodion is currently at the Olympics, showcasing his talent on the world stage by scoring a crucial goal during Spain’s run to the final , making a significant impact in their journey towards the much-coveted championship.

Chelsea have spent £115m this summer on players like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, Omari Kellyman, Filip Jorgensen, Tosin Adarabioyo, Caleb Wiley, Estevao Willian, and Marc Guiu.

The club has sold several players, including defenders Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall, and forward Omari Hutchinson, and Gallagher is nearing a transfer to Spain. 

Romelu Lukaku’s future remains uncertain, as he has spent the past two years on loan in Italy.
