SpaceX CEO Elon Musk changes his Twitter name to 'Treelon'

Elon Musk, the Tesla chief executive has recently done a noble work as he donated money to plant one million trees and he has changed his name on Twitter to “Treelon” as well.

Musk, the chief executive officer (CEO) of SpaceX, has donated $1 million ($1 per tree) and became the highest contribution so far towards the effort. Following the change of his name on Twitter, Musk tweeted “For Treebeard”, a reference was taken to a character in the fantasy novel series The Lord of the Rings.

The initiative, named #TeamTrees, was started by famous American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, who is famous with the name “Mr Beast”. Meanwhile, the project’s aim is to raise money for the plantation of 20 million trees by January 1, 2020.

The funds will go to the Arbor Day Foundation and the well-known YouTubers have been asking their followers to contribute as much as they can for the noble cause.

More than 7.7 million trees have been planted so far, as per the initiative’s website. Mr Beast, on the other hand, tweeted in response to the Musk’s contribution, saying he “can’t stop smiling”.

After the donation of Musk, Twitter chief Jack Dorsey, also gave money to plant 150,000 trees. YouTube also joined the conversation, saying the company will match the Musk’s donation as well.
Many YouTubers have shown their interest in this initiative, such as Mark Rober, Rhett & Link, Marshmello, iJustine, Marques Brownlee, The Slow Mo Guys, Ninja, Simone Giertz, Jacksepticeye, and Smarter on a daily basis.
