AI chatbots like Perplexity and Chatgpt have made life smooth for everyone. It has made life easy for students, especially, as these AI provide free solutions for problems and help in their academics

Perplexity, an AI chatbot search engine, was founded by Aravind Srinivas, Denis Yarats, Jonny Ho, and Andy Konwinski in 2022. In less than 3 years, it has already made significant progress. This AI has several features, such as solving complex math problems, generating codes, and writing tables. It can be used to understand even complex problems.

Chatgpt: An Introduction 

Chatgpt was created by OpenAI as a nonprofit organization in 2015  but later in 2019, it became for-profit. Its CEO and Co-founder is Sam Altman. It has been created like a natural human design which makes it feel like having conversations with a real person. ChatGpt has both voice and text-based settings which can help in translating the language, creating content, and providing summaries, and solutions for almost every problem.

Usage

ChatGpt can be used in various ways, it provides a 24/7 service with instant replies. It can generate a huge variety of content, articles, stories, reports, and in-depth details on any topic. ChatGpt can be seen as a machine useful in tutoring, it can offer assistance to projects and school work, using smartly it can help in overall learning as it provides creative ideas that can be used in brainstorming. ChatGpt can not only be used for learning and research but can be used for entertainment purposes as it generates stories, sounds, and jokes. Everything looks picture perfect until look closer,  the data of Chatgpt is not reliable and the user shouldn’t only depend on that, it’s important to have a fact-check for important data 

whereas, on the other hand, Perplexit’s data is much more reliable, it uses up- to- date sources and provides credibility to the data that can be relied upon as it provides fact-checked data with transparency through citations, allows users to vary sources and build trust among users. As ChatGpt it can also be used for academics, research, content creation but in a broader way. Unlike ChatGpt, Perplexity is a new application and is still under development, it doesn’t always provide full information.

Update Requirements 

Perplexity being based on the latest trends requires continuous updates, on the contrary, ChatGpt benefits itself from OpenAI, as it can provide updates and the latest data without any update. 

Pricing 

ChatGpt provides a clear pricing structure through free to higher. While Perplexity provides specialized services that are not easily available, the pricing of Perplexity is speculative and depends on usage.

Customer Service 

 Perplexity has a customer service system, that helps to know people’s opinions and problems through messages and emails. Whereas ChatGpt doesn’t provide such services as it is used in chatbots.

In Conclusion, both AI’s have equal importance as both have distinct roles. Perplexity can be used to get more in-depth knowledge while ChapGpt can be more used for conversational practices. It can’t be said which one is better as it depends on the usage and user. Both have different pros and cons and the ultimate choice depends on the person using it.
