Jacques Villeneuve will make his competitive debut at the 2025 Goodwood Revival, racing in the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration. The 1997 Formula 1 World Champion will drive a bright yellow 1963 AC Cobra nicknamed the “Hairy Canary” from September 12–14 at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Excitement Builds for TT Celebration
Villeneuve expressed his enthusiasm for the event, saying, “It was very frustrating seeing all my pals having fun racing it out last year while I was sitting watching. Driving the Cobra on such a fun track will be an exceptional moment, can’t wait!”
The TT Celebration is one of the Revival’s most prestigious races, featuring iconic GT cars from the 1960s. Villeneuve will compete alongside fellow motorsport legends including Jenson Button, Scott Dixon, Tom Kristensen, and Dario Franchitti.
Honoring Jim Clark’s Legacy
This year’s Goodwood Revival will also pay tribute to two-time F1 champion Jim Clark, marking 60 years since his historic 1965 season. Clark famously won both the Formula 1 World Championship and the Indianapolis 500 in the same year—a feat unmatched to this day.
Cars from Clark’s career will be showcased, and a special track parade will celebrate his achievements, including his shared lap record at Goodwood with Jackie Stewart from the 1965 Sunday Mirror Trophy.
A Star-Studded Weekend Ahead
The Duke of Richmond praised the event’s lineup: “Every year, we are privileged to welcome some of the world’s greatest drivers and riders to the Goodwood Revival. These competitors turn their skill and passion to historic racing, often facing rivals they’d never otherwise meet on the track.”
With sustainable fuel races, vintage lifestyle showcases, and appearances from motorsport icons, the 2025 Goodwood Revival promises to be one of the most memorable editions yet.
