A Well-Carved Co-Incident?
In their youth, Pitt and DiCaprio both worked on the ABC sitcom Growing Pains who never shared a scene. The show actually helped to launch their individual careers together! The pair amazingly have also had their fair share of attention from the media, being seen as hot commodities in the late ’90s and early 2000s!
The Real-Life Brothers: Leonardo DiCaprio & Brad Pitt
The pair of leading men have publicly gushed over their opportunity to work together on Tarantino’s film, where Pitt even mentioned DiCaprio in his acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor at this year’s Award ceremony: “Leo,” he said, “I’ll ride your coattails any day, man. The view’s fantastic.”
When the film was playing at the Cannes Film Festival, DiCaprio spoke to Time saying, “[…] It was incredibly easy working with Brad. And I think together we forged, hopefully, a great cinematic bond in a film about our industry together.”
Too Good To Wonder Also, Isn’t It?
The reason behind the duo’s easygoing rapport Pitt shared, “We have kind of the same reference points, we came on at the same time, have similar experiences to laugh about. I hope we get to do it again, it was great fun.”
DiCaprio and Pitt’s new bromance comes with the pair exchanging a couple of new nicknames as well.
Pitt said in one interview, “Lover. He calls me lover. It’s a bit confusing, but I roll with it.”
Brad Pitt has also joked that he would have definitely “shared the raft” with Dicaprio, referring to the actor’s death scene from the 1997 film, Titanic.
