Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, will always be remembered among the WWE lovers of the ’90s’ era, although he has set his footprint in Hollywood very successfully in recent times with films like Hercules, Baywatch, Jumanji. Although 15 years have been passed after he said goodbye to the ring, his chemistry with Kurt Angle inside the ring still fascinates the WWE lovers.
The Rock remembered his chemistry with Kurt Angle
Recently, after 90sWWE has posted a video of a WWE match of the year 2000, between The Rock and Kurt Angle, on their twitter page, The Rock has shared it with a nostalgic caption. It was a moment of the match when all of a sudden, in the middle of the match, Kurt realizes that The Rock has stopped running. The laughter of audiences is audible in the video. The Rock mentioned it as a usual fun during the non-televised show. Probably these moments created magical chemistry between the wrestler duo inside the ring.
The particular match was the most entertaining match of No Mercy
The rivalry between the duo also started quite interestingly. In the year of 2000, while Stephanie McMahon partnered with Angle and used to appear in the matches between the duo at No Mercy, The Rock was dealing with Rikishi being revealed who used to appear as the mystery attacker of Stone Cold Steve Austin. When The Rock was preparing himself for using Rock Bottom on Angle, Stephanie appeared. Rock after collecting the crowds’ approval used it on her.
Meanwhile, Triple H ran into to take McMahon to the backstage and delivered pedigree to The Rock. Then Rock’s cousin Rikishi appeared to help Angle. Although Rakishi appeared with a desire to help Rock, he ended up helping Angle. Finally, Kurt Angle became the champion.
😂 the fun we’d have when we’d wrestle non-televised shows.
Btw👇🏾 is tame compared to other things we did.
Fun fact: approximately 4yrs earlier my opponent here (@RealKurtAngle) would win an Olympic gold medal 🥇 in wrestling in 1996.
