President Donald Trump recently opened up about the novel coronavirus that too for the very first time on his Twitter feed where he referred to it as the “Chinese Virus,” which left everyone speechless. His words became a reason for friction between the world’s two biggest economies as each of them is trying to deflect blame for the deadly virus.

Donald Trump, who has earlier called the disease a “foreign virus,” tweeted on Tuesday: “The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus.” He has earlier retweeted where it was called a “China virus.”

As the coronavirus has been spreading from China to the U.S. and across the globe, both nations are blaming to its origins. On the other hand, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Geng Shuang said at a press conference on Tuesday that Trump’s tweet gave a false accusation. He further added that they are very angry and strongly oppose that as well. Moreover, he added that the US should rectify their mistake and stop baseless attacks against China too.

Last week, another Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian gave a conspiracy theory where he said that the U.S. army might be involved in spreading the virus.
