David Schwimmer, who had played Ross on the famous show Friends, has finally opened up on the show’s most controversial debate – “We were on a break!” which he has used several times throughout the show.
The words referred to his relationship with his girlfriend Rachel and his subsequent one night stand with Chloe who was from the Xerox place. The famous actress Jennifer Aniston portrayed the role of Rachel. And now the actor is finally opened up whether his Friends character Ross and his girlfriend Rachel were “on a break.”

The show was first aired 25 years ago and it has gained huge popularity over the years. Even today too it can be found on the online streaming platform, Netflix. While the show still manages to keep the same flavour, fans who have been re-watching the show continue their debate whether they were on a break or not.
In the show, it can be seen that when Rachel gets to know that the pair slept together, she felt betrayed and was devastated. But Ross, on the other hand, can be seen arguing that it doesn’t matter since he and Rachel were on a break at that time.
While over the years, it used to confuse fans what the truth is, David Schwimmer, who played Ross, has taken the initiative and cleared the air as well.
The famous actor responded: “People are so passionately divided on whether or not [Ross and Rachel] were ‘on a break’.”
He further added: “Yes, it’s not even a question, they were on a break.”

Along with revealing the truth, he also opened up on the most-awaiting topic – Friends reunion. He shared a few details about this where he said that he and other actors likely to film the one-off special episode in mid-August if the present situation of global pandemic COVID-19 gets better and becomes safe to shoot.
He expressed, “It’s supposed to happen maybe in August, the middle of August, but honestly we’re going to wait and see another week or two if we all determine it’s really safe enough to do. And if not, then we’ll wait until it’s safe.”
