Shamir Patel, the consulting pharmacist said: “Over the past few weeks we have seen a surge in people stocking up on the inhalers as a result of Covid-19. The virus is known to block the airwaves and be extremely dangerous to those who suffer from respiratory problems such as asthma, so it is no great surprise that sufferers are adding extra items to their orders.”

He further added, “The inhaler works by relieving symptoms such as breathlessness, wheezing or a tight chest. However, while they are required to have a prescription to purchase the inhalers, we have to limit them to two per person so that they can be equally distributed to those in need.”
