During her recent visit to Telluride, Colorado, for the 2024 Telluride Film Festival, Where she was promoting her new film, Emilia Perez, Selena Gomez made a surprise visit to high school students at a volleyball game on a special request.
“It’s My First Time In Telluride”
On Saturday, August 31, Gomez posted on Instagram of attending a volleyball game at a local high school. The note in bright orange color caught her attention as it was pinned to a bulletin board, asking the “Single Soon” singer to perform the National Anthem at one of their home games.
“They asked!! Couldn’t help it, it’s my first time in Telluride!” Gomez captioned her post, reported Wion.
Selena Gomez rose to fame as a child star on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place before starting her career in music. Selena is also known for her work as an executive producer on 13 Reasons Why and Only Murders in the Building, where she stars as Mabel Mora.
Moreover, in 2008 she signed with Hollywood Records, forming the pop-rock band Selena Gomez & the Scene. She received gold certificates for her three studio albums and seven singles.
Fans Applaud Her Visit
The post showed a video of Gomez taking a walk into the school’s gym and her fans were applauding and cheering her name.
“I saw the sign and so I had to come,” Gomez said in the video.
Gomez’s upcoming Netflix film Emilia Pérez, directed by Jacques Audiard. The movie centers on a lawyer in Mexico who receives a strange offer to help a feared cartel boss retire from his crime by becoming the woman he’s always aspired to be. The film also features Zoe Saldaña, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Edgar Ramírez.
