Anthony Hopkins celebrates International Cat Day on Thursday, August 8, as he shared a carousel of pictures featuring him and a group of beautiful cats in North Africa.

The post, where he was seen cuddling a kitten with a caption that reads “From Ouarzazate, Morocco, with love. ❤️” posted by Hopkins
As he wrapped his hands around the tiny feline, The star of The Silence of the Lambs looked away from the camera while the cat appeared relaxed and looked directly at it.
He posted a cute picture of a ginger cat stretching on a bed and reaching their paw to the camera before a white cat was snapped with a straight face.
Hopkin’s post included three cats lying alongside on white blanket, where the fourth slide featured two of the cats sleeping beside each other on a bed, while the following photo captured a cat squinting their eyes as they lay on a cat bed.

The animal adoption shelter that Hopkins tagged in his caption replied:
“Sir @anthonyhopkins Advocating for our shelter on the International Cat Day Such an honor,” Adopt Moroccan Animals wrote in their caption.

In June 2023, Hopkins and his wife, Stella Arroyave, contributed to a nonprofit organization, Paws of War, to help rescue animals internationally. The organization reunites members of the U.S. armed forces with the animals they save during their position.
