Bill & Ted Face the Music to see Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter Reprising Their Famous Roles

With the global pandemic, COVID-19 continues to affect everyone including movie events, tentative reopening date of movie theatres gets pushed back. This made many distributors of movies plan otherwise. While the films like — James Bond movie, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet — have been postponed from the release calendar for an indefinite time period, the studios behind others are releasing them directly on VOD and a few theatres.

One of the movies is third Bill and Ted movie, Bill & Ted Face the Music which will arrive simultaneously on VOD and in theatres. This will see the famous Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprising their famous roles as well.

Story

The story will begin 25 years on from where it ended last time. As Bill and Ted struggle to come as per the terms with the monotony of middle age, they’re called upon once again to save the world and they will join their journey through time by their daughters as well.

While Bill & Ted Face the Music will come on VOD and in theatres on Sept. 1, Keanu Reeves has shared that he had “no expectation” that there would ever be a third movie of this franchise.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter has revealed some details about the sequel that will soon entertain the fans.

Reeves said, “We’re still a pretty scrappy independent movie. It’s part of the charm! This movie is very much in the spirit of the other two films across the board. So there are Easter egg cameos, and there are other important musical figures that are prominent. I don’t want to give too much of it away but the spirit of it, all the way down to the soundtrack… it’s a Bill & Ted movie, straight up.”

On the other hand, the film’s director, Dean Parisot, revealed that the movie had the same budget which was given to a television pilot and somehow the things got worse amid this situation. He further said that the movie was difficult to make. But the actors and other staff made it easy for him as they were agreed to the pay cuts and went further to make it.
